GPA Forecasting
Stop reacting to your GPA and start directing it. Learn to use the Goal Planner and Projection Tool to chart a clear path to your desired academic outcome.
A calculator tells you where you've been. An alchemist's tool shows you where you're going. The most powerful features in GPA Alchemist are not for calculation, but for forecasting. This guide will show you how to use them to make intelligent, data-driven decisions about your future.
Working Backwards From Your Goal
The GPA Goal Planner is your most powerful strategic weapon. Instead of asking "What will my GPA be?", it answers the question, "What must I do to achieve the GPA I want?".
Define Your Target: Do you need a 9.0 CGPA for a scholarship? An 8.5 for a specific graduate program? Enter this number into the "Your Target CGPA" field.
Add Future Semesters: Add the number of semesters you have left and estimate the total credits for each. Be realistic.
Analyze the Result: The tool will instantly calculate the average SGPA you need to maintain across all your future semesters to hit your target. This number is your new North Star.
"A goal without a plan is just a wish. The Goal Planner transforms your wish into a concrete, mathematical target."
Simulating Scenarios with the Projection Tool
Life is unpredictable. Some semesters are harder than others. The Projection Slider is a "what-if" machine that lets you explore different future scenarios and see their impact on your final CGPA.
Once you've set up your future semesters in the planner, use the slider to ask critical questions:
- "What happens to my final CGPA if I have a tough run and average a 7.5 SGPA for the rest of my degree?"
- "If I push myself and average a 9.0 SGPA in my remaining semesters, can I reach my goal?"
- "What is the absolute minimum SGPA I can get away with and still graduate with honors?"
Think of this tool as a flight simulator for your academic career. It lets you test out different paths and see the consequences before you commit, allowing you to navigate your studies with confidence and a clear plan of action.
